Terrific Tuesday video for June 27

Hi everyone from sunny and hot Orlando!  The girls are having a great time and we are all trying to beat the heat.

Even though I am away It's still a great day for a Terrific Tuesday video.  Here is the technique I will be showing you today.  It is called the Pleated Skirt Technique.

Before I get into the technique itself here are a couple of pictures so far from our trip.  Most of you know that Natalie is dancing in Disney, that happens on Wednesday so I will be sure to post more about it next week!

Here is Claire and I on the teacup ride

Here is both girls outside our resort

Today's technique looks hard, but it really isn't at all!  I think my video will explain most of it and will provide you with all the details.  In case you miss the size the designer series paper needs to be or where to score, they are listed below:

7 3/4 x 3 -  designer paper cut
put marks with a pencil on the short side at 1 1/2 and on the long side at 3 (from the left)
score lines are 3, 3 1/2, 5. and 6 1/8

Here are some more pictures.  I used the Naturally Eclectic paper and make this style using three of the different patterns:

Trip Achievers Blog Hop - June 2017

Welcome to the Thailand Incentive Trip Achievers Blog Hop for June 2017. I'm excited to be participating!  This month our theme is to show some of the awesome and amazing products in our annual catalog.  I chose to focus on our new stampset called "Inspired Events".

My daughter recently got confirmed and I so wish I had this stampset to have been able to make her a card, so I did the next best thing, I made her one after the fact :-)  Wasn't she beautiful on her confirmation day.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog, Kim Vogel, or you may have come from the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full line-up below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.  At the moment you are visiting Kim Vogel.

Here is a picture of the card that I made:

I paired the Inspired Events stampset with some of the products from the petal garden suite.  I love how this card turned out.  I used old olive cardstock with Sweet Sugarplumm whisper white and a touch of rich razzlebery.  I love this color combination.

Here is a video that I prepared showcasing this card:

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration.  Remember that currently you are at my blog, Kim Vogel, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next!

Terrific Tuesday Video for June 6th!

Happy Tuesday!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  This was our weekend with Bridal Showers!  It was so much fun to see what Nicole and Matt got and equally amazing was seeing family that I haven't seen in a long time!

What bridal shower you might ask?  For those of you that don't know, my son Matt is marrying his soulmate August 12.  She is amazing and we are so excited to welcome her to our family.  Here is an engagement picture and a picture from her shower we hosted this past weekend.

As you might guess, I'm a little behind on getting my information out for June but working on the catch up this week!

This week I am sharing with you the wood words bundle that is found on page 159 of the annual catalog.  I absolutely love the crate and can see it being used for so many different things!  The wood textures designer series paper is the PERFECT paper to coordinate with this bundle.

Here is a picture of the stampset that I used.  The coordinating framelits make the crate and have coordinating framelits for all the shapes as well.

Here are some pictures of the project that I made.  It includes a crate with 4 coordinating note cards and envelopes.  This is the PERFECT handmade gift to have on hand when you need just a "little something" to take to a hostess of an event or party.
