Terrific Tuesday Video for December 26th

Hi everyone and welcome to another Terrific Tuesday!  As you may have noticed I am extremely late in getting today's blog post and video out.  I spent a long weekend with my mom to celebrate Christmas and it was really nice to be able to spend some time with her.  I just game home today.

I did have a little bit of Stampin' fun mixed in as I worked on some of my swap cards that I need to get in the mail later this week.  I will share them with you in upcoming videos.

Since I was gone for close to a week, I didn't have a lot of time to stamp and prepare a project to share with you today, but I did want to show you some of the swap cards that I received from my first group of swaps.

Some of you know that I am a swapaholic.  What is a swapaholic you might ask, it's someone who has an addiction of signing up for TOO MANY SWAP GROUPS!  As demonstrators we have the option to make cards to swap with other demonstrators, well I signed up for 11 groups (I make a different card for each group and I make 21 of each card for each group, so I'm designing 11 cards and making 21 of each of those 11 cards).  I then send the cards to whomever organized the swap and she swaps them out with cards from other demonstrators, and I get back 231 different cards!  It 's a TON of work, but I love doing them and my customers LOVE seeing them all for inspiration so it makes it all worth it to me!

Today I am sharing some of those cards with you.  I am also providing some details regarding our annual Sale-a-bration event.  Sale-a-bration, is the best ever!  SAB begins January 3 and goes through March 31.  During this time, every $50 purchase qualifies for a FREE item from the SAB flier.  This year Stampin' Up! has surprised us with some amazing offerings.

Here is a couple of pictures of the cards that I made for my swap cards.

NEED YOUR COPY OF THE OCCASIONS CATALOG AND THE SALEABRATION BROCHURE?

Before I show you the video with the swap cards, I would like to share a couple of pictures with you from our Christmas celebration.  Every year I get the kids matching pjs.  My son is a good sport and puts his on too.  I love these kiddos so very much!!  .

Alaska Achievers Blog Hop - November 2017

Welcome to our Alaska Trip Achievers Blog Hop for November 2017 and thank you for joining.  I'm excited to be participating.  Those hopping today are Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all around the world that have achieved the prestigious Stampin' Up! incentive trip that only a limited number around the world achieve.

We will be hopping together once a month to show you ideas and designs using current Stampin' Up! products. I live in the United States and would love to help you if you have any questions.

I chose to showcase a cute project that I showcased at my craft shows this year.  These adorable mugs were a BIG hit and perfect for any of your gift giving needs.  Sometimes we want something small for coworkers, teachers or friends and these are PERFECT for that.

Here is a picture of the hot chocolate mug that I made.  Of course it includes all the contents to make hot chocolate but you will need to use a real mug :-)

The stampset that I focused on to make this mug is the "Hug in a Mug" stampset that is in our holiday catalog.  It's actually hidden in there!  I didn't see in the first couple of times I looked at the catalog.

Here are some close up pictures of the mug.  It will definitely be a conversation piece and something that you will want to make for those special people in your life.  It looks hard, but it really isn't, I promise!  My video provides very detailed instructions.  You will need the envelope punch board though to make this, so make sure you order one ASAP if you don't already have one in your collection.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog, Kim Vogel, or you may have come from the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full line-up below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.  At the moment you are visiting Kim Vogel.

Here is a video that I created with detailed instructions on how to make this mug.  I have also included a list of supplies I used at the end of this blog post.

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration.  Remember that currently you are at my blog, Kim Vogel, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next!

If you are interested in purchasing the supplies to make this mug, I have included them below.  Simply click on any of the supplies below and it will take you to my online store. I hope you have just as much fun crafting these mugs and I have!

Terrific Tuesday Video for November 28, 2017

Hi everyone and welcome to another Terrific Tuesday Video!

Today I am going to share with you a super cute and easy project referred to as the diaper fold pouch.  It is so simple to make and something that can be easily reproduced in a short amount of time.

I used the merry music DSP and the new green sprigs from the holiday catalog.  A lot of my customers weren't sure how to use them, but they are perfect for this project and add that special touch to it.  Here is a picture of what I am sharing with you today:

Before I discuss the details of my project, I would like to share with you a couple of pictures from our Thanksgiving weekend.  This year we decided to make our own turkey and spend a quiet day at home enjoying each others company.  We have been on the go so much lately that it was nice to be able to have a low key day.  The girls really enjoyed it too.

We dusted off our formal dining room table and our fine china.  The girls set the table and it was so nice to see them having fun with it.  Later in the weekend we went to see my mom and had Thanksgiving with my family and we topped the weekend off by seeing The Nutcracker.  Here is a picture of our awesome table in the making for Thanksgiving and a picture of the girls and I before we left the house to see The Nutcracker.

We had an amazing weekend and I can't wait for Christmas break to spend more quality time with these two!

Terrific Tuesday Video for November 21

Hi everyone and welcome to another Terrific Tuesday Video!

Today I am going to share with you a card technique referred to as the sunburst technique.  This technique is great for using up all those scraps of designer series paper that you may have laying around.

I used scraps of the Quilted Christmas DSP to make my card:

Before I discuss the details of the sunburst technique and show you my video for this week, I would like to share with you what I did this past weekend.  The girls and I made 100, yes 100 Christmas cards for our personal card this year.

I knew I wanted to incorporate a picture of us from my son's wedding this past summer, and their photographer, Amanda Dolan is a gem who has taken our pictures for YEARS.  As always, she did an amazing job.  This is what we came up with!  (yes, my husband looks like a grump who never smiles, LOL)

I really like it and I'm very happy it was something my girls could help me with.  All we have left is to add the pictures!
