Terrific Tuesday Video for August 15th

Hi everyone and welcome to another Terrific Tuesday Video.

Today I am going to share with you a card that I created with an early release bundle from the Holiday Catalog. The bundle is called "Carols of Christmas".

Here is a picture of the card I will be making today:

Before I get started I want to take a moment and share with you some pictures from my son's wedding.  It was a BEAUTIFUL wedding and perfect in every way! Of course it goes so fast but we have lots of pictures to cherish for years to come!

My new daughter was BEAUTIFUL and my son so HANDSOME!  Much love to both of them!

Here are a couple of sneak peeks from their photographer:

Here is a picture of my family.  The girls were beautiful too!!!

Here is a picture of my girls, Natalie and Claire, with my nephew Richie.

Thanks for letting me share pictures with you.  I don't know what I am going to do with all my time now!  The wedding was my last big event this summer.  We sure have been busy.  I'm now ready to start thinking about my fall Stampin' Up! classes and schedule.  Look for more to come!

This week's card focuses on the Carols of Christmas Bundle and the Sheet Music background stamp.  I wanted to make a Christmas card that wasn't in the traditional Christmas colors.

All the details are provided in my video in addition to some tips on stamping and how I add the ribbon to the card.

Here are pictures of the carols of Christmas bundle and the Sheet Music stampset.

Terrific Tuesday Video for August 8th!

Hi everyone and welcome to another Terrific Tuesday Video.

Today I am going to share a neat technique with you that I refer to as the "Frosted Vellum Technique".

Here is a picture of the card I will be making today:

Before I get started I want to take a moment and share with you a little bit about the amazing week and weekend we have in store.

This weekend by son, Matt, will say "I Do" to his best friend.  It's so hard to believe that my 2 pound baby is 28 years old and GETTING MARRIED!  We are so excited for him and can not wait to welcome Nicole to our crazy and busy family!

Here is a fun collage of pictures of them.  Notice the biggest one, that was taken the day he proposed to her. They were at a car show and he had a plate made.  It was an awesome day.  Here is a video of the proposal for anyone who wants to see it.  He did good!

Thanks for letting me share that with all of you!  I promise I will have wedding pictures for you next week!

This week's technique showcases our vellum cardstock.  This is a product that I haven't used to much in my videos and it's AMAZING!!!!  I used the vellum and embossed it, making it look frosted.

All the details are provided in my video. I LOVE how it turned out and this is a PERFECT wow card with very little time invested.  Here are some close ups of the card.

I used the Garden Trellis embossing folder and the sunshine wishes framelits.

Terrific Tuesday Video - August 1st Edition

Hi everyone and welcome to another Terrific Tuesday Video.

Today I am going to share a neat technique with you that I refer to as the "Paper Towel Technique"

Here is a picture of the card I will be making today:

Before I get started I want to take a moment and share with you some pictures of the girls from our county 4-H and farm fair that took place last week.

We raised pigs for the last 5 months and the girls showed them at the fair.  A special thanks to Mark McDonald Farms for supporting my girls year after year in the purchase of their fair pigs.  It was a long week but very rewarding.  It's so fun to watch them grow and learn from year to year.

This week's technique is one that everyone can do, as no special supplies are needed, just paper towels from your kitchen and an ink pad!

All the details are provided in my video. I LOVE how it turned out and the colors are perfect for a lion card.

I used the "A Little Wild" stampset and coordinating framelits to make this card.

Thailand Trip Achievers Blog Hop - July 2017 - WHAT AN AMAZING TRIP!

Welcome to the Thailand Incentive Trip Achievers Blog Hop for July 2017. I'm excited to be participating!  This month our amazing trip to Thailand finally happened. I am so excited to share with you some of the awesome and amazing things we did!

First, let me show you a picture of the swap card I made.  It isn't a Stampin' Up! event unless there is swapping involved.  Swapping was optional but I never turn down the opportunity!  I chose to use the pleated skirt card that I showcased on my blog a couple of weeks ago.  I also created a video for anyone who would like to learn this technique.

This is a picture of the hospitality room.  Every day we went to this work we were SPOILED ROTTEN!  This room was loaded with candy and sweets galore!  The best part though is that there was a corn hole game and every day we played for prizes.

One day it was our choice of a pack of DSP, another day it was washi tape, etc. It was also a place to cool down from the hot and humid weather.  The hospitality room is also the best spot to catch up with fellow demonstrator friends.

This next picture is from the group event the day we went to Phang Nga Bay.  Words can not describe this amazing experience.  We took a speed boat out and then jumped into canoes for a panoramic view of the beautiful formations.

This next picture is the beach. It was so windy on the beach and we weren't able to swim here but it was beautiful none the less.

This picture was taken at our final event.  Stampin' Up! adds all the perfect touches to their events to make them top notch.  Check out all the hard-carved fruit.

This final picture is of the James Bond Island.  GORGEOUS!!!!

I could show you tons more but I'll save some for the rest to show you as well!  As you can tell it was an amazing trip and we had a wonderful time.  Coming back to reality and adjusting to the time change was definitely a bit of a challenge though.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog, Kim Vogel, or you may have come from the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full line-up below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of our pictures and memories.  At the moment you are visiting Kim Vogel.

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop as we share this amazing experience with you, make sure you check the blog hop line up list to see who is next!

Terrific Tuesday Video for Tuesday, July 25th!

Hi everyone and welcome to another Terrific Tuesday Video.  I think I am finally back on track following our trip to Disney and our trip to Thailand.  I have settled back in to work and have my Stampin' routine back.  Thank you to all of you for your patience.  Vacation is nice but it's always nice to get back home!

This week I will be sharing the tissue paper technique with all of you.  Here is a picture of the card that I will be demonstrating. All the details are provided in my video.  This is a simple technique and a great WOW card!

I used inspiration from a card I received from Jennifer Cotton as part of our card swaps from the Thailand trip, changed the colors a little, and incorporated the tissue paper technique.  I LOVE how it turned out!

Jennifer's card is the blue and orange (night of navy and peekaboo peach), I changed it up and used lemon lime twist and berry burst.

Here are the measurements of the cardstock:

Whisper white card base 5.5 x 8.5 scored at 4.25
Berry Burst mat cut to 5.25 x 4
Whisper White mat cut to 5 x 3.75

The stampset that I used for this card is called, Oh So Eclectic.  Here is a picture of the stampset.

REMEMBER TO COMMENT ON MY VIDEO FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN!  Since I haven't done a drawing for a couple of weeks, I am putting the names of all the individuals who commented on my last two videos into the random picker app.  The winner of the box of glue dots is............BRIDGET ERVIN!

Bridget won just for commenting on one of my last two videos! Congratulations BRIDGET!!  Up for grabs this week is a bolt of the crocheted trim. One lucky winner will be announced on my blog post next Tuesday so make sure you check back and that you visit youtube and comment on my video!

Here is a complete list of supplies that I used to create this card.  Remember you will need to pick up some tissue paper from your local department store:

ELEPHANTS - we loved the elephants!

We are still suffering from jet lag and the time difference. Thailand is 11 hours ahead of my time zone here in Michigan.

Today is my first day back to work as well, so I am spending my lunch hour to provide you all with a terrific Tuesday video and blog post.  I promise I will return to regular blog posts next week and will also announce winners from the comments on my last two videos as well.

The video I  have for you today showcases all the swaps as I did not have time to be in my craft room since we were on vacation all week :-)  I missed it but it was so nice to have some time to RELAX.

I hope these cards give you some inspiration.

Here is a video showcasing all the swaps as well!

I hope you all have a wonderful week and check back next week for new projects!
