Terrific Tuesday Video and Blog Post for February 20th!

Hi everyone and welcome to another Terrific Tuesday! Today's project is a very simple one, yet a GREAT 3-d project that can be made in large quantities very easily!

My dear friend and team member whipped 50 of these up for me for an upcoming retreat in just a couple of hours.  I thought it was the PERFECT project to share with you all today.

I refer to this project as the "matchbox treat holder".  It reminds me of the old matchboxes that we used to get at weddings.  Here are some pictures of the finished projects:

Aren't these just CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!  I love how easy they go together.

Before I share my video with you, I would like to wish my sister a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  Today is her special day, and I hope you have a GREAT day!!!!

She is the best big sis I could ever ask for.  She always covered my store purchases so that I didn't have to "break my 5", or "break my 10".  Love you lots Bonnie and I hope you have a WONDERFUL DAY!  Here is a picture of her with my girls from a few years ago at one of their dance recitals.  Can you tell we are sisters :-)

Terrific Tuesday Video and Post for February 13

Hi everyone and welcome to another Terrific Tuesday! I finally had some time to play with my Brusho, and it was so much fun!!!  I am going to share with you a couple of different ways in which I used it.

The video is a little longer than normal, but when I'm working with something new and watercoloring, it always takes a bit long, but I think you will love watching the magic happen when applying water to the brusho crystals.

Here is a picture with four cards that I created with brusho.  I will discuss the various techniques in my video.

For those of you new to brusho, it comes in a package with five different colors, it looks like this:

Make sure you watch my video for tips and tricks on how to get the brusho out of the container.  A little of these amazing crystals go a long way!

I always like to share a little tid bit about me when I post on Tuesdays, I hope you don't mind me sharing.  This past weekend our Saturday was jam packed with activities for the girls.  Our day on Saturday started with Claire's basketball game.  This girl is so driven, she had a good game even thought they lost.

Later that night Natalie and her dance team performed in a a local talent/variety show.  This was the first time that I got to see a couple of her new dances and wow they are awesome!  Natalie is the short one in the middle in the first picture, and she is in the second row, first one on the left in the next picture.

If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Kim Vogel.

This month our theme is to show you a project using AMAZING product from BOTH our annual and occasions catalog.

I chose to show you a card that I created using the Birthday Memories DSP from the annual catalog paired with the Metallic Edge ribbon.  The bundle comes from the Occasions catalog and is the "Hold on to Hope" Bundle.

With spring and Easter right around the corner, I decided to design this card using Perfect Plum and So Saffron.

I also made two versions of it.  One is more simple and the other I incorporated some stamping of flowers from the stampset on the top and bottom.

I love this bundle and can see myself using it for many different card activities I do with various church ladies group.

I hope you enjoyed the card that I created to share with you today.

Here is what the pages looked like, if you would like more information about my scrapbook club, please email me at kim@kimsbasementbunch.com  I have several members who do my club virtually and receive their kits in the mail.

I would love to have you as a member.
