Welcome to the Thailand Incentive Trip Achievers Blog Hop for February 2017. I'm excited to be participating!  This month our theme is Sale-a-bration.  We want to show you some more ways to make the most of your Sale-a-bration items.  I will be focusing on two of the new Sale-a-bration items that you can pick with a $50 order.  Remember that three NEW items are available beginning February 21st.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog, Kim Vogel, or you may have come from the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full line-up below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.  At the moment you are visiting Kim Vogel.

I chose to focus on the new Glimmer Paper and the Make a Medallion Stampset.
I paired the Make a Medallion stampset with the Glimmer paper to make three cards, one in each of the colors that the Glimmer paper comes in.  The three colors are Mint Macaron,  Bermuda Bay and Sweet Sugarplum.

You can select both of these items by placing a $100 Stampin' Up order.

Directions (all supplies listed below):

Cardstock colors used:  Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper White
Cut card base to 5.5 x 8.5
Cut mat to 5.25 x 4
Emboss Mat with Elegant Dots Embossing folder
Cut piece of DSP 1 x 5.25
Cut glimmer paper .5 x 5.25
Using the same color of cardstock as the card base, heat emboss the image from the Make a Medallion stampset using white emboss powder
Stamp the coordinating image in the ink color to match the basse
Stamp 'FRIEND" in the middle
Cut out with a circle framelit from the stitched framelits collection
Adhere medallion with dimensionals
Cut a 1 x 2.5 piece of Whisper White for the banner/sentiment
Stamp "Thanks for Being You" from the Avant Garden stampset (or a different sentiment of your choice)
Punch out a 3/4 inch circle from the glimmer paper
Add an embellishment from the falling in love embellishment pack

Pinwheel Technique

Featured on my blog today is the pinwheel technique using the falling in love suite of products by Stampin’ Up!  This suite of products can be found in the Occasions catalog.

This technique is a great way to use up scraps of paper while making cute cards.  The pinwheel element can also be used on traditional scrapbook pages.

My video includes all the instructions in addition to the measurements.

The supply list is below the video.  You can click on any of the images to order them in my online store.

Our weekend Scrapbook Retreat/Dance Fundraiser

This past weekend my daughter Natalie and I hosted my quarterly scrapbook retreat.  This time though, it was a bit different!  It was a fundraiser for Natalie's upcoming trip to dance in Disney.  Many of you know that dancing is her life - it's what she does!  She doesn't do any other sports just dance.  This June, her dance team will be traveling to Florida to perform in a once in a life time performance!

The highlight of the weekend was that she made home-made, right from the oven,  banana bread for them following lunch.  They loved it!  After lunch she entertained all the ladies with a couple of her dances.  Wondering how my retreat is structured?  The cost to attend the retreat is $50 and included a goody bag valued at $20, make and takes, lunch, snacks, dinner and hand made gifts that we give everyone throughout the day.  The event takes place from 9 AM - 9 PM, 12 hours of scrapbooking and crafting fun!

Interested in attending my next retreat day?  Join my mailing list and never miss any of my emails and information regarding my other events and classes.  My next one-day retreat will take place in May, date to be determined.

I thought I would showcase for you all the goodies that we prepared for the day. She chose to focus on an emoji theme and the ladies LOVED it.   The scrapbook pages were the make and takes (we still have about 10 kits left if anyone is interested in purchasing a layout for $8).

Their name tag was at their table waiting for them to arrive.

Throughout the day, Natalie handed out little gifts that she made for everyone.

 Bag of Gumballs

 Scissor Charms

Suckers

Valentine's Day conversation hearts, but these had emoji's on them!

Thailand Trip Achievers Blog Hop - SALE-A-BRATION!

Welcome to the Thailand Incentive Trip Achievers Blog Hop for January 2017. I'm excited to be participating in my first ever Blog Hop!  This month our theme is Sale-a-bration.  We want to show you some more ways to make the most your Sale-a-bration items.  I hope you enjoy!

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog, Kim Vogel, or you may have come from the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full line-up below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.  At the moment you are visiting Kim Vogel.

I chose to focus on my favorite item from the sale-a-bration flier, the stampset called Delicate Details. I've included a picture of all the current Sale-a-bration offerings.  You will see Delicate Detail on the bottom, center.  Remember that for every $50 order that you place now until March 31st, you will be able to pick one of these items for FREE!

The Delicate Detail Stampset coordinates with the Falling in Love Product suite found on page 51 of the Occasions catalog. For my cards today, I chose to use both the Falling in Love suite and the Delicate Details SAB stampset to demonstrate how they go hand in hand.  Here are the two cards that I made with these products:

Directions:

Cut Sahara Sand cardstock at 5 1/2
Stamp the top and bottom with the stamps from the Delicate Detail Stampset
Cut Blushing Bride Glimmer paper 3 x 3
Cut Blushing Bride Cardstock 2.75 x 2.75
Adhere them together, add doily, 3/4 inch circle punched from the silver glimmer paper, and falling in love embellishment.
From a piece of very vanilla scrap, cut piece 1/2 x 2
Stamp sentiment

Directions:
Cut very vanilla cardstock in half at 5 1/2
Cut mat out of sahara sand card stop at 5 1/4 x 4
Cut falling in love DSP at 3.75 x 2.5
Stamp the bottom with stamps from the delicate detail stampset
Add both the lace trim and the very vanilla satin ribbon
Sponge around the end of the doily with blushing bride ink
Adhere DSP, doily, 3/4 inch circle and embellishment
Cut a scrap piece of Sahara Sand at 1/2 x 3 and stamp sentiment.

Check out my video for more information regarding how I made these cards

I have also included a list of the supplies that I used.  Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration.  Remember that currently you are at my blog, Kim Vogel, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next!
